Rainy Wednesday. Class begins at 9:30 ; but I arrive at a little before 8:00 in order to get a good parking place. Who am I kidding? To get ANY parking place! Can you see my car? It is the speck behind and to the left of the girl with the umbrella. Early arrival means I can cut across this parking lot instead of walking all the way around. Exercise,
schmekzersize on wet days like today I say.

So many stairs! To the right is the last standing original building on the campus. It used to be the library. The building is made of metal and was just one big room. Quiet and comfy chairs. I loved it. When I was pregnant with my first child I used to ransack the prenatal aisle.

I really appreciate an immaculate bathroom, public or private. The custodial/janitorial staff at my school are heroes in my book. Now if they could only regulate the automatic flush feature...

Going on nine months cigarette free; but I sometimes look at scenes like this and think, "I could still smoke that. No one is looking. I'll just lean over and reach down and..." But it was
a rainy, rainy Wednesday morning; and so I wasn't tempted today. Old smokers never die. We just get grossed out by different things.

This is one view of the courtyard where I sit in the morning. Usually a lady comes around with a huge plastic tank of water on wheels to give all the plants a drink. I always think, "What a cool job!" And for a brief moment I listen to the pretend baby waterfall sounds. Lovely.

The courtyard has these nifty concrete pillars. I love the texture. Didn't show up as well in the photo. Sometimes I lean on this one.

This is my usual Wednesday breakfast. A
steroidally huge orange paid for by Mommy Dearest. An oatmeal bar given to me by Sister and Son. And my new favorite water bottle from my Darling Soon-to-be-a-Bride Daughter. Aluminum and so light to carry. I fill it from the water fountain and the water stays icy cold til the end of my last class.
So that's my rainy Wednesday. I love going to school.
