Windows Internet Explorer (Not Responding) are my newest curse words! Seriously?! 15 minutes to log on?! Dial up service with AOL back in the bad old days was never this bad! Who can I kill? I admit I am not the most technologically inclined of my generation; but I am not stupid. Give me a good explanation and I can be reasonably patient. But not even being able to scroll down one page is insane! I have defragged. I have deleted. I have cleaned. I have emptied my personal Recycle Bin. I am not going to pay a little geek squad geek $195.00 to tell me I need a new laptop! If I had any extra money I would have DONE that already. And why should computers wear out? I type papers. I email my kids. I peek at things on fb. I etsy. THAT'S IT!!! I don't NEED nanoseconds! Trust me. This is not secret information. This is why people in my age bracket are driven to screaming in the night. It is not that we don't GET all this cyber crap. It's that it simply doesn't do what we want it to do, what we PAY for it to do, when we want it done. This is what the expression "going postal" really means. This is why I used to encourage Darling Eldest Daughter to break clay pots on our driveway. This is why I say, "There are never enough grenades."
My sweet nephew heard me cursing and brought me a hammer from the basement. I love that kid.
Comcast sucks, mom....they are notorious for sucking.
