I love these crochet hubcap flowers from artist Julie Kornblum. They are so fun and unexpected, and prove you can crochet into just about anything. Plus, they are made using discarded hubcaps and plarn, so they are a great recycle as well! [via Recyclart]

OKey DOkey! Googled "plarn". Yarn made of recycled plastic bags. OOooooooohhhhh! THAT I have actually done. Never knew it had a special name. Apparently there are zillions of plarn folk out there who are dedicated to recycling and saving the planet, etc. Not as crazy as I originally thought. Still...crochet hubcaps strike me as just a smidge weird.
