Brimful

Couldn't get to sleep last night.  Blame this new ipod shuffle.  What a cool toy and now I once again have music in my head.  Tune out the nine hours of other worldly television viewing and retreat to early Beatles, Los Lonely Boys, k d lang, Copland, Tracy Chapman, and Leonard Bernstein teaching me why Beethoven's "Eroica" is a lifelong study in greatness.  Side effect is music OD.  Brain turn off long enough for me to doze, please.

Couldn't get to sleep last night because I was writing a fairy tale about a girl who resembled Arthur's friend.  She was wearing a bridal veil that kept getting bigger and a yellow dress.  The woodsman didn't show.  Problem was I couldn't think of Arthur's name or the girl character's name until this morning.  I also had the wrong cartoon theme music on a mental loop.  Remembered the name of the little sister (DW for Dora Winifred) but still can't place the other one.  Don't tell me!  The fairy tale is going to be really good.

Couldn't sleep last night because I was planning what to do today.  Yesterday I cleaned a box full of stationary and envelopes and found these:
Cany you see my beloved Frida?  I am going to add them to what is fast becoming a goddess board.  I also found these:

Pasta!  LGBT!  Circus World!  Frank Lloyd Wright!  Vintage florals!  Was this a collection I didn't know I had?  Some of these will soon be winging their way (ways?) via standard postal service to the unsuspecting.  Why?  Because real mail is pretty and fun!  You have been warned...

Couldn't get to sleep last night because I was thinking about four special gals.  Gack!  Did I actually type "gals"????!!!!  Two old high school buddies who know me from my pre-pseudo- hippy days and love me anyway.  Don't see or hear from them too often but they make me smile almost every damn day.  One college buddy, equally old, who I also rarely see.  She and her husband came to my aid in a very dire moment and I will never stop being amazed and grateful for their generosity.  She has known me since my self-absorbed, "I;m in love so do not bother me" years and loves me anyway.  One daughter who has come to my aid in my current dire moments.  She is my greatest gift and she gives it every Thursday!

Couldn't get to sleep last night because spring semester begins next week and I am so freaking jazzed!  This will probably be the most challenging 16 weeks I have ever experienced; so I am terrified of academic failure.  But it is what I have been aiming for since I began these courses.  Full steam ahead.  I will sleep some other time I suppose.

Much love, Francine  ( I knew I could find it!  And I knew you would know!!!)
