Kindness Overload
Yesterday I was begging my Higher Power: Just a good parking place, oh please, oh please! I promise not to complain about pain for the remainder of the day if I just get a medium good parking place.
I had to car stalk one limping lady, but I was rewarded. And then I was rewarded again and again.
My leg totally gave out between classes and the blessed security folks at my school actually delivered one of those power scooters to me up on the second floor. Usually I manage to hobble thru the halls, but yesterday I was simply overwhelmed and did not want to create a health crisis spectacle. Bless the School Cop Squad!
Five hours later one of my classmates popped the double doors open so the scooter thing wouldn't crash. Unknown stranger held the elevator door as the scooter thing (and I) repeatedly crashed trying to make our exit. Sweet Boy from Seattle who let me use his arm all the way to my car thru the snow that had already fallen. Bless you all as you kindly blessed me.
Even Mommy Dearest fished my fallen book bag out of the snow and held the door for me. Bless her, too.
Thanks to all of the above. I hope the kindness overload I experienced yesterday will pay itself forward. I promise to do my share.
Now, let's kick February's ass out of here. Like a lion or a lamb doesn't matter to me. But if it brings the kind people out of the woodwork; I'm all for it.
