Sorry, dear Reader! I haven't had the chance to cook anything in over three years. Recent windfall and Generosity Daughter have allowed me the luxury of some kitchen experimentation. Not too far off the culinary beaten path yet. I do now own some basic spices and REAL mayonnaise.
This morning's treat to myself: Potato soup with smoky bacon, whole wheat garlic croutons, and Swiss cheese. Not your usual holiday fare, but ever so dee-lish. Future fun: the house brand butter pecan ice cream and hamburger chip pickles. NOT together. And something called a "brat burger" which I was persuaded to purchase by Toothless Patty.
Maybe going Food Blog Rogue will garner some new readers! Tell all your friends and they'll come runnin' to me. That is all.
