In these oh darkest of economic days, for the nation and my selfish self, there are occasional bright spots. Dear High School friend and her delightful blog mentions other equally delightful blogs that entertain and make me think. One focuses on vintage patterns and lovely clothing. Made me go "HHhhhhhmmmmm" and could have distracted me for hours. So grateful.
Also Darling Eldest Daughter and her fashion elan! Recently posted some smoky eyed photos that made me think of Twiggy and my own brief experimentation with eye shadow. Think Bowie on steroids in iridescent blues. No glitter. Even fat girls think of fashion.

Here is my homage to two of my favorite of all time dresses. If I had either of these bodies (alive and in their prime, of course) I would wear these gowns to do the dishes. I'd seduce the mail man in these dresses. I'd dance alone in these dresses. I'd...
Doesn't do Marilyn or the dress justice. Somebody once told me she never wore a bra. Imagine! I wonder if Pink thought of this gown when she created her Glitter in the Air costume.
And here is my nominee for best neckline EVAH!!! And check out those bracelets. Even the song Rosemary croons wearing this outfit is perfect. George Chakiris as a back up dancer boy. What could be better? This is also the beauty of black and white. Is the gown velvet? Hope so. Is it black? Hope so. Anyone know? Please don't ever tell.
