Windowsill. Sister's Son's teapot. I adore those colors and the crookedy legs. The lid is teeny. Photos of me and three people who still like me and whom I adore. One porelain vase that held live bamboo. One cactus hanging on for dear life.
Me, my girls, my grandson, an actual record player (an actual gift long ago from Mommy Dearest) for actual vinyl records and my most precious wooden box crafted by my Grandpa Ed. (Another actual gift from Mommy Dearest, not quite as long ago. Can you believe it?)
Tokens of much better times. Jaine and I absconded with this poster from the University Center in the last century. I could still run at the time, and boy did we ever! No nonchalance for the two of us. First item I ever had professionally framed and worth every nickel. A gorgeous round box from Recently A Bride Daughter. It has a little bank inside, but I'm going to use the box to store my embroidery floss. (Yes! I know how to embroider!) Two books that were gifted to me and one I found at a library sale. They are the start of what I hoped would be a "coffee table book" collection. And a sky blue vessel filled with colored stones, glass beads, and overpriced scented soaps. The idea was to someday place it in my own true bathroom.
My gorgeous feather lampshade lamp. $4.00 at my favorite thrift store that I never visit anymore. Mosaic top table I found in the street and claimed. Somebody offered me $50.00 for it and I turned her down. Good decision then and still a good decision. I've never seen anything like it. The "Bizzare Jar" Recently A Bride Daughter made in high school and my favorite aluminum water bottle from the same precious giver. Some thread, scissors, and a wire basket for small sewing projects. (Yes, I do know how to sew. A little bit.)
That's my view here from bed at Casa Mommy Dearest. Now I shall look to my right. But, that's a blog for another day.
Namaste'
