Yes, last night was a doozy. The thunder didn't quite roll, but it did continue for what seemed like a really long time. And it really did sound like the angels were bowling. That's what I was told as a child. There was not much rain at the beginning, but WOW! that thunder was something! At about 2:30 the lightning started up and it seemed like it was on the grass outside my bedroom window. Not scared in the least. If it's got your number it's got your number.
Nah, what frightened me is this goddam pain. It has become overwhelming and all consuming. I cannot plan a trip to the bathroom without first calculating whether or not I can reach my canes. Yes, CANES! Like Jeff Goldblume in The Fly! I cannot put on shoes or sweep my floor. I still rely on my children to do the laundry and take out the garbage. I feel like a goddam invalid AND I HATE IT!!!
Late night and early morning hours find me screaming and thrashing. I wallow in the pits of despair and self-pity. My level of lethality escalates and I soak my pillows with tears and snot. I cannot get a doctor's appointment and I am not getting enough rest. I am afraid.
PAIN IS EXHAUSTING!!!
