Remember this project? Very favorite flannel from an ancient set of sheets and a thrifted blue fringed edging. So soft. So comfy. So full of worn out places and holes. My bright, and ever so economical plan, was to cover the icky spots with crocheted circles Looked fine. Not quite as pleasant to use, however. Lumpy and the circles didn't have the 'give' of the flannel fabric. What to do, what to do?
Scrimped together some funds and rationalized a minor yarn purchase ("I'll use it for other projects, too!") Ripped off the unsuccessful plaid/circle combo cover. Crocheted the yellow and red ripple instead. Ran out of red and substituted a few rows of orange. Several glaring errors that I chose to include. Still not as sweet as my old flannel buddy pillow; but I'm learning to accommodate.
New pillow. New location. New chair also. New attitude. Ta ta, old dog.
