This is the Happy Post.
Cowboy Dude, who really hated me at first, now calls me his Damsel in Distress. He generously pushed my loaded grocery trolley up the ramp and all the way down the hallway. Then he asked if I had some change so he could get some smokes. Usually my policy is to not give money for cigarettes or liquor. Next time I get to be a damsel of any kind he gets my coins.
Bank Lady with the glorious long braid came to my car! She brought my deposit slips and endorsed items back into the building and returned with my receipt and a roll of quarters just like I wanted. I was truly going to make my way inside myself, There was even a guy there who just came up next to me and offered to tromp on the shiny parts of the pavement to be sure they were merely wet and not black icy and ready to kill. Wow! Sometime kind people really do cross my path. And I know how they get there.
Little Sister and Son show up with gifties and really good news. Despite more adversity than a thousand people have to endure she has found a job! And not just some crap, take anything to earn some money and get out of the house job. A REAL JOB in her field. She gets to use her education and do some good at the same time. Which, quite frankly, is my dream. I am so proud of her. I am so happy for her.
I didn't "D". But I did splurge a smidge on a teeny discounted fir tree wrapped in shiny red and silver paper. That and the following will constitute my Christmas celebrating I think. Oh, and I did buy my first ever Cornish hen.
Ho Ho Ho! Happy Christmas to All and to all a goodnight! Windows open?
