Teetering

Not having a very good time lately.  Same old worries and that light at the end of the tunnel is growing dim once again.  Blah, blah, blah.

Imagine my joy, my rapture, to discover when checking my library holds that at long last a copy of Belle Armoire has been located!  Whee Doggies! as Jed Clampett used to say.  I put a hold on this magazine four months ago when I was told that my local library was forced to cancel their subscription.  (Sad face icon inserted here.)  I'm not even going to check again to see which issue I reserved; this is one surprise I know I can handle.

Love, love, love it!  I don't sew and lately my crafting efforts have been hamstrung by the dwindling budget of the crippled and crazy person I have become.  Belle Armoire always inspires, makes me smile, and gives me the teeniest sense of kinship with the creative women (and several men) featured in the articles.  What I coulda' been...

The colors are rich and delicious.  The focus on recycling, upcycling, and using what material one has delights me.  One of a kind and unusual items are celebrated.  Just splendid!  The perfect combo of photos and story line.  For me it is a place where the imaginary becomes real.  I get lost there and I can't wait for the next delivery.
Sweet!

  1. Looks like an very interesting magazine.

The word armoire always reminds of the one I bought in the 70s - nothing expensive or fancy, but for some reason we thought the French pronunciation was very funny and pretentious - ahm wah - so we Americanized it and called it the amwam.
