Spring, Shming...

What I had intended was an inspirational post about the coming of (tra-la-la)Spring. Rebirth! Reawakening! Reopening! The illustrations were to include artsy fartsy photos of dandelions. Where I live, nothing else says "Hark the Redwing Blackbird Sings" like the early blooming yellow flower/weed. BUT - in the eternal spirit of going against the grain- I wanted pictures of singleton dandelions. One bloom on a lawn. One bloom along a stream. One bloom struggling against the highway pavement. Apparently one blooming dandelion does not exist. They travel together, in packs, in crowds, in prides. Like herds of marauding adolescents come the midwestern dandelions.

This past week I completed three really long research papers, one oral presentation, completed my field assignment, and sat for two exams. I rewarded myself with a weekend trip to my favorite place: My Local Lie Berry. Enjoy.
