Twice A Week

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have my favorite class with my favorite teacher in my brand new favorite building.  "Wook At Dis!" as my Darling Eldest Daughter would say.

More of that lovely matching, well placed brick work.  And this building is coordinated with all the other buildings at the campus across the street.  No small task considering the varied political administrations in charge during the many stages of construction.
AND  once inside the show is even better.  This lobby, all curly and stainless steel shiny makes me feel like an extra in a Star Trek film.  I keep hoping  to see Tribbles.

And is that real slate tile?  In the vending machine area?  And nice plush carpeting?  Crushed velvet wing chairs?  (Not too crazy about that little table, however.)

Needless to say, another immaculate bathroom.  But check out that travertine tile.  And the automatic flush feature?  PERFECTLY TIMED!
There's a terrific courtyard and little areas of prairie restoration surrounding the building itself.  I love the combo platter of grasses, hosta, and coneflowers.

But the absolute best, most exquisite feature of attending class in this really cool place is the following:

PARKING!
Parking as far as the eye can see.
This building was planned and constructed during the administration of a recently disgraced and convicted midwestern governor.  Kind of makes me wonder.  But, I still am glad and grateful that I get to attend class here twice a week.  Is there someone I should thank?
