I am convinced: "March comes in like an idiot and goes out like a bigger idiot" should be the platitude of choice to describe the antics of this month.
Where else can one be treated to a pseudo-spring such as this current one? We KNOW it is due to global warming and the price we pay, in the short term, will be a horrifically hot, drought-y, bug infested summer. More wild fires. More floods. Higher gas prices. Higher food prices. More and longer power outtages. More people dead in the tenements here and the slums there. Ah, Spring.
My benefits have been cut; slashed by 85%. That's a huge difference. And while I most assuredly will not starve, I know this happens to families. And so, coupled with all the dreadful circumstances mentioned above, little kids will be hungry. Really, really hungry. Here at Elder House benefit chopping is a hot topic. I've already mentioned how food sharing is common. Now we are organising wagon trains to the local food pantries for those of us who are carless. Folks subsist on ramen noodles and PB&J. YeeHa!
(I had an entire paragraph here about the gutless fucks who lurk in the cyber shadows and tattle. But I deleted it. Yippee for me!) Besides the morning meds have almost kicked in. Skin still feels like it's going to explode and the urge to pee is.....well, coming on strong. (Yeah, I know TMI. Welcome to MY world.) Today I'm taking advantage of the idiot weather and going outside.
